Diane Laney Fitz­patrick is a dig­i­tal media mar­ket­ing spe­cial­ist, writer, author and blog­ger. Her com­pa­ny, Dig­i­tal Con­tent and Ser­vices, helps small busi­ness­es grow into social and dig­i­tal media with a DIY approach, with cus­tomized strate­gies and sched­ules. She recent­ly pub­lished Dig­i­tal and Social Media Guide for Small Busi­ness­es avail­able on Amazon.

A grad­u­ate of Kent State Uni­ver­si­ty, she holds a bachelor’s degree in jour­nal­ism. She was a reporter for dai­ly news­pa­pers in Ohio, an edi­tor for Sun News­pa­pers in Cleve­land, and a free­lance writer and edi­tor for numer­ous print and online pub­li­ca­tions. Diane is a mem­ber of KSU’s School of Jour­nal­ism and Mass Communication’s Pro­fes­sion­al Advi­so­ry Team. In 2016, she received the school’s William D. Tay­lor Award for Jour­nal­ism Alum­nus of the Year.

A long­time humor blog­ger, Diane is the author of two humor books, Home Sweet Homes: How Bundt Cakes,Bubble Wrap, and My Accent Helped Me Sur­vive Nine Moves and Great-Grand­ma Is on Twit­ter and Oth­er Signs the Rap­ture Is Near.
