Tom Van Dam is a Navy helicopter pilot and a Military Professor of Leadership at the United States Naval Academy. Tom is a learning partner and faculty affiliate with the Institute for Experiential Learning where he is co-leading the initiative to apply EL with leader development.
A former Division I baseball player, Tom blends his passion for sports with his deep expertise in leader development and experiential learning. He works closely with student-athletes and coaches across the country, helping teams unlock their full potential and enhance their performance.
Tom holds a Master’s Degree in Leadership from Georgetown University and is a certified executive leadership coach and team experiential learning coach. He is passionate about translating experiential learning into leadership development, using real-world case studies and diverse learning styles to cultivate strong, adaptable leaders. His approach empowers both established and emerging leaders to maximize their experiences and lead fulfilling, successful lives.
